Why use Med Armor products?
The Med Armor company has close relationships with a number of chemical companies. We tailor disinfection packages to meet client needs. We predominantly use Complex quats, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide, Hypochlorous acid and Peroxyacetic. We use multiple vendors to develop the best infection control program for our clients.
Designing for infection control requires significant knowledge of the indoor microbiome. All of the surfaces in your home/facility are connected. We have air surface interfaces and water surface interfaces. Adding temperature, relative humidity, and chemicals, we have the ability to rid other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from everyday items like floors, plastic, drywall, and furniture. We also know that bacteria build resistance. If you use the same disinfectant repeatedly, pathogens build resistance to disinfectants and antibiotics. We attack infection prevention with multiple disinfectants, focusing on the time (dwell time) the product requires to work against pathogens.

How it Works: In our garments, we infuse an antimicrobial into the fibers of the cloth when the cloth is being made. This antimicrobial (FDA registered and eco-friendly) will help to eliminate bacteria and viruses. The antimicrobial properties last the life of the garment and have been proven 99.99% effective in killing germs that cause infections.
The problem: Over 100,000 hospital deaths can be attributed to cdifficile and staphylococcus aureus infections. Long term care facilities account for another 380,000 bacteria related deaths per year. The bacteria that cause these deaths are acquired while patients are seeking treatment for a different problem.
Infections in dialysis patients’ costs are over 7% of CMS 2022 trillion-dollar budget. If we were just 10% effective in reducing that rate, would result in savings of billions to our healthcare system. The average dialysis patient will get at least one infection a year that has to be treated in a hospital. That cost in 2019 exceeded $27.000.

DIALYSIS / CHEMOTHERAPY SHIRT
PRODUCT
The Med Armor 1 - Chemotherapy/Dialysis Shirt, has been infused with an antimicrobial that lasts the life of the garment, while helping to prevent infections. It aids in the administration of a dialysis or chemotherapy treatment because this universally designed shirt has a double ended, #5 zipper that goes from the sleeve cuff to the neck allowing easier access to the portal whether it be located under the collar bone or fistula in the arm. Tested against Staphylococcus Aureus that was applied after 50 commercial washings, allowed 24 hours to grow, was still a 99.99% kill of the bacteria. Staphylococcus Aureus is the number 1 cause of infections in dialysis patients.
DIALYSIS PATIENTS IN THE USA TODAY
At the end of 2016, there were 6,871 dialysis facilities in the United States, at which 493,550 patients received dialysis. The average number of patients per facility in the United States was approximately 72. Today, that has grown to over 700,000 patients receiving dialysis. We are working with CMS - Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, that would give 6 of our shirts to every person with End Stage Renal Disease. Upon studying the infections that occur in the dialysis center, it is believed that the bad bacteria (Staphylococcus Aureus) is being brought in by the patients, therefore they will be encouraged to wear these shirts not just for treatment but also in their homes to help prevent infections.

Although we will start with the VA and DOD where we will not have any competition, this will take approximately 2 years to be able to 100% be able to satisfy their market. Once we have done this, we have a plan to capture 25% of the $10.7 billion market

Our Purifier, based on the active ingredient Benzalkonium Chloride, is a unique gel formulation that features exceptional skin feel, conditioning and moisturizing properties. The efficacy of this product has been confirmed to reduce S. aureus 99.999% in as little as 30 seconds. SURFACE PROTECTOR

Our hard surface protector is a solution made up of a disinfectant and has an antimicrobial that lets its protection last over 45 days. GVN, the Global Virus Network tested our product by placing it on a hard surface for 45 days. After the 45 days they exposed the SARS 2, Corona virus 19 virus spores to the surface and the efficacy of our product result-ed in an immediate kill of the virus. Although this is a great test of how well our product works over time, we recommend that the product be administered every 30 days in facilities like schools, commercial office buildings but in high traffic areas such as elevators, cabs, trains and buses, once a week to prevent contamination by this virus.

Continuous use when added to the fabric softener side of the wash will help to kill bacteria and fungus that causes odors.
After laundering a garment 5 times it will have the same properties as Gor-tex where blood and liquids when splashed on the garment, will run off

• Use in every wash, our BioProtect protection increases, as shown in a study conducted by Dr. Gideon Wolfaardt of Ryerson University. (Study is available upon request)
• BioProtect treatment increases the longevity of fabrics, as recognized by the EPA, as it “Inhibits deterioration caused by bacteria.” This deteriora-tion causes wear on fabrics was well as mold and mildew.
• Experience has shown that fabrics treated with BioProtect show less wear from laundering. Extended durability tests are now being conduct-ed.
• Use our LS-420 Antimicrobial Fabric Softener, a 1% active solution, in every wash.
• Add 1/2 oz. (Tablespoon) per washing machine load being washed using automatic feeder now used for softener.
